Maybe the stuff from the TV show leaking in is kind of like the Gundam thing where the sequel series look to the movies for general continuity, but something not being in the films doesn't necessarily mean it never existed/happened.

I don't know if it's been brought up yet, but the Big O's piston arm is monumentally cool as well.

My mom read a book about how cheese will kill you or something and she now eats very little to none as a result. My brother and I joke with her about finding the book and burning it, so she won't tell us where it is in the house (she's in on the joke, mind you). I could never live without cheese.

Endless Waltz itself is as good as it always is. Seeing Heero picking up the Wing Zero on the big screen sent goosebumps all up and down my body. I wish I had gotten the chance to see the dub because that would have made for the ultimate experience they never afforded me 25 years back.

The IBO short was a much better affair. It seemed to have a pair of credits sequences of which the second seemed to be an epilogue one for the whole TV show. I'm not exactly sure what that was about, but it was a really well done short that showcased the characters well.

As long as the staff remain correctly biased to this objectively best character in this show, I'll be okay with it.

That one assumes you've read the entire first set of novels such as "Bakemonogatari", "Kizumonogatari", and "Nekomonogatari Black", so it may be just confusing as a result. Nisioisin's writing is also ridiculous, so that probably doesn't help.

Kissa You Ginza is by the national Kabuki theater in Ginza and does a stellar omurice. It's not pricey at all and other folks have told me all their entrees are worth it.

As a history nerd, the whole area within an hour of the city of Nara itself is my favorite part of Japan. The next time I go, I'm going to rent a car and spend a week just exploring that area.
