True story. Throughout the day I would do my best to recognize every single positive thing I could be grateful for, even if it was something as simple as: “I’m grateful that the hole is so quiet, while the rest of the jail is so noisy.” I would then affirm out loud my gratitude.

Highly recommended.

3d Cir. upholds a 10-to-1 ratio of punitive-to-compensatory damages in a case involving a prison guard who sexually abused a prisoner twice. Says the 10-to-1 ratio is "fitting" in this case and does not violate due process.
