recently my friend's comics professor told her that it's acceptable to use gen AI for script-writing but not for art, since a machine can't generate meaningful artistic work. meanwhile, my sister's screenwriting professor said that they can use gen AI for concept art and visualization, but that it won't be able to generate a script that's any good. and at my job, it seems like each department says that AI can be useful in every field except the one that they know best. It's only ever the jobs we're unfamiliar with that we assume can be replaced with automation. The more attuned we are with certain processes, crafts, and occupations, the more we realize that gen AI will never be able to provide a suitable replacement. The case for its existence relies on our ignorance of the work and skill required to do everything we don't.

So back on December 19th, of 2025 my partner and I were displaced from out apartment due to threats of violence by our new neighbor in the building we live in.

He hurled transphobic and just general bigoted threats at us and others as well as having and openly carrying a firearm he said he would kill whomever called the police on him. We spent 2 days in a hotel costing us over $400, after that we managed to have a place to stay but we had left with nothing on us when we fled. We had to gut all of the money we had and even with donation help we are struggling as we were before this entire incident. Rent, Bills, and food are all things we need money for now and unfortunately due to laws in our area the tenant in question is only on "Final Notice" this is against both our wishes and the landlords but its local law. We feel unsafe and our holidays have been wrought with financial burden, fear, and family death and medical problems.
