Sometimes I sit down to write things for myself, with no expectation of getting paid or even showing anyone, and I still have a little twitchy nerve yelling "yeah but what if you made a mistake?" and it takes a lot of mental work sometimes to beat that voice back on personal projects.

I used to really enjoy the whole "set my own schedule" element of being self-employed/a contractor but 4 years in the corporate world was enough to make me realize how exhausting that was. Takes a lot of discipline.

But on the flip side of that coin, I've been eating actual breakfast again.
