Alex from our time working together, while he was in nursing school. Later, he moved to ICU, working as a nurse to support critically ill Veterans. He had such a great attitude. We’d chat between patients about trying to get in a mountain bike ride together. Will never happen now

The article is about a perceived lack of representation in his admin and not about whether specific individuals should be there. They disingenuously didn’t include who the new school chancellor was because they just wanted to say that Mamdani replaced a Latino school chancellor.

Quote from the article: “Black leaders aren’t the only ones expressing concern. Many Latino leaders were upset by Mr. Mamdani’s decision to not keep Melissa Aviles-Ramos as schools chancellor.”

This is the article I’m referring to: www.nytimes.com/2026/01/15/n...
None of Mamdani’s Deputy Mayors Are Black. It Has Become a Problem.

The NY Times lately is trying to attack him from the POV of abandoning leftists but they’re hilariously bad at it. They recently said Mamdani replacing the Latino school’s chancellor is evidence of poor diversity in his admin but omitted that the new school’s chancellor is black. I wish I was joking

I doubt it at this point: the majority of rares and mythics in the set have already been spoiled as a result and probably all of them by the end of pre-release weekend.

I think Sliwa, like most NYers, is sick of politicians who don’t bother or are too afraid to just walk around and talk to people. Bloomberg heavily leaned on the “he rides the subway to work!” shtick to look like a normal person and it worked more than it should have.

Lmao, a rent stabilized 3BR I was splitting with roommates in Washington heights around 2017-19 was jacked up from 2800 to 4k after all of us left. Rents haven’t risen as a result of the FARE act and 3k is awful for a rent stabilized 1BR in Astoria. This landlord is just being a landlord.
