So anyway — yes, you are right, but there's a thousand things to say about what you're saying

But that doesn't mean that changing the written laws and constitution aren't a huge part of what needs to happen.

The country has gotten away with accepting some bullshit anti-democracy features of our government, and those features are a huge part of how we got here.

I've had this comment rattling around my head for a couple days because there is *too much* to say about it.

As the current Supreme Court majority shows, it doesn't matter what the constitution or the laws say so long as people with the power to do so say they mean something else.

By the time I *have to* use a cane, I am already in pain and looking for the earliest opportunity to quit walking.

Using the cane when it helps means I hurt less and walk more.

It made a huge difference in my life when I realized how dumb it was to only use a cane when I had to.

People also have weird ideas about assigning moral values to mobility devices. Sometimes it is seen as weakness to use a device unless it is impossible to move without it. On the other hand, using a device that you don't regularly use can get you seen as a fraud.

I have not yet owned an e-bike, but I have been calling my standard bicycle "my two-wheeled wheelchair" for years.

Mobility devices are a great blessing.

You realize e-bikes are a massive accessibility gamechanger for disabled or older people? You realize that it doesn't make you lazy to want to get to work faster and less sweaty?
