Seems clear that Ben is supporting Caleb's ability to go "off schedule" to look for the big play. Caleb has been really smart about protecting the ball and avoiding sacks in those situations taking a lot of the risk out of those plays. If Ben didn't like it he'd make Caleb play more like Goff.
