The far-right has always been about protecting girls and women...

Unfortunately, it's also always been about protecting "our" girls...

That is... The ones they feel they own and are entitled to.
Nigel Farage has confirmed he wants to deport women asylum seekers back to the Taliban if he becomes prime minister.

The Reform UK leader's position on the topic hasn't been clear, after previously saying in August that he wouldn't send women back to the regime.

@gurpreetnarwan.bsky.social if you're going to write an article about adhd... At least get it right: it's a neurological condition; not a mental one.

The most frustrating thing about the #LocalElections2025 is that I've no doubt that @teamlabouruk.bsky.social will take ALL of the wrong lessons from this and tact further right wards.

I swear if I hear one more person talk about "common sense", I'm going to throw something at their head.

It got published nearly 5 years ago, but I have to say... The fact that my literature review has been cited 38x now does have a tendency to stroke one's ego.

Having lived in Germany for the last 3 years, I can easily sum up what Keir Starmer needs to do:

Actually do something and abandon neo-liberalism.

Simple

It's crazy how much the production quality of music has changed since I was a teenager.

I'm seeing Trivium & BFMV on Friday on their Poisoned Ascendency tour... Those albums are 20 years old.

I love those albums to this day, but the difference between them and recent releases is night & day!

I'm proud to be a scientist, but at which point can I just have my own private lab without having to deal with people? 😅

As a scientist, one thing that angers me is when there are needlessly dragged out meetings that could have been emails.

I think it often surprises people when I try to ensure that meetings I chair run exceptionally short and to the point.

On a serious note, how does one engage with people from rural communities when it comes to anti-intellectualism and anti-science stances?

It's anecdotal, but it's difficult to engage when facts are dismissed as "opinions" and "arrogance".

Deeply, deeply frustrating that my hometown have co-opted a staunch anti-vaxxer and conspiracy theorist as a councillor.
