The Gone World is absolutely one of my favorite Audiobooks. I was excited when I heard she was narrating this.

My wife is taking the girls to get their nails done so I am going to relax and watch the last episode of Ballard with the puppies.

antifa is actually short for anti-fanta

So being against antifa makes you pro-Fanta.

Been going back and forth about how/if/where to post reviews. I’ve pretty much retired my blog and considered seeing if other bloggers would be interested in an occasional guest post but decided to just post to @thestorygraph.com for now.

When I gave my wife the news about Henry yesterday she asked me if I was Ok. I don’t know if I’m ok. I mean, I’m numb and devestated. I’m functioning. I wish I was optimistic and hate the fact that I’m not.

I plan to come up with a new list of books so, if anyone had recommendations for a 6th grade boy fighting cancer who loves star wars and legos and is just an amazing kid, let me know. Any author willing so sign a book for him with an encouraging note, let me know. I’ll pay for the book and shipping.

Ok, this sucks. After a brief period of remission, Henry’s cancer has returned. He’s been battling this since he was 4 so every period of remission is a blessing. He just started sixth grade and treatments will begin again at the end of the month. Honestly my heart just keeps breaking.

Trying to get a good mix of favorite authors and new authors for this Halloween season. Just started a new audiobook by a new to me author, When The Wolf Comes Home by @natcassidy.bsky.social, and only like 45 minutes into it but I’m already sucked in!

Old Crow. It’s cheap and sounds cooler than it actually is.

I just did 6 hours at Six flags with my family yesterday and I feel like I need this whole Sunday to recover.

With audiobooks, I always have one and only one going. With print, I usually have one or two ebooks, one print book, one anthology, one book in my car, one book at my work desk and will often start a book and finish it months later. I just finished a book I started in April.

Cracker. They’ve done a few tours there and have a love album called “Live from Madrid.”
A tour post for the band Cracker for their tour in Spain. Pictured is an Owl perched on a guitar with tour dates below it.

You’re touring Spain next month and my favorite band is touring spain next month. It’s like Spain is the place to be.

In Pa, October is Lifesharing Awareness Month. If you don’t know what Lifesharing is, it’s similar to Foster Care but of for individuals with IDD and medical complexities. I’ve been doing it for over 4 years now. If anyone in Pennsylvania is ever interested hit me up.
Me, a gruff bearded man with Benjamin at Asbury Park.

Added a few touches to my workspace for the season. (Also, why is the dollar store charging $1.50 for Halloween decor this year? Booooo!)
My desk with a Wizard Gnome, a Halloween pen holder and dollar store skulls.

I don’t really use Goodreads anymore. I switched to StoryGraph and while not perfect I’ve enjoyed it. The review process is weird to me but here’s mine for Veil.

Me, after a few days, “That sucked but at least now I can turn my head!”

My 51 year old back, “Hey, remember me!”

First audiobook of October is YOU WEREN’T MEANT TO BE HUMAN by @ajwhiteauthor.bsky.social. Started it while walking my dogs and almost dropped the leash the first time I heard the hive.

This was the first book on my October Horror tbl list but still taking recommendations!

Sometimes I think Ernest Cline wrote Ready Player One thinking, wouldn’t it be a hoot if we got Wil Wheaton to read this.
