Honestly, for me momentum will naturally speed and slow depending on what's happening in my life. The key is that I'm excited to be writing so I always come back to the work. It's good to remember that sometimes you need rest in order to continue. Rest doesn't mean you're not working!

I love the novel journal as coined by James Scott Bell. Journaling briefly about my thoughts on a project every. single. time. before writing each day really helped me through my first drafts when I was starting out writing years ago. It helped me to see that not every writing day has to be great.

I.. don't? Probably not a very good answer but I'm such a burst writer that my momentum is largely driven by a combination of available (mental) time and motivation, and it's rarely consistent. But I do make a point to at least think about my stories daily if not open a doc to work too #GauntletChat
