I love the novel journal as coined by James Scott Bell. Journaling briefly about my thoughts on a project every. single. time. before writing each day really helped me through my first drafts when I was starting out writing years ago. It helped me to see that not every writing day has to be great.

Just getting started here—hi! I write middle grade novels filled with magic, myth, and a strong sense of place. My completed manuscripts include a California-based historical fantasy, a Finnish mythology-filled fantasy, a contemporary folk horror, and a wintry fairytale retelling. Happy to be here!
