received a reply: apparently the warning "should have" been removed after 24 hours, but i have received no indication of this on the site itself & also i was using itch at my usual location (home) on my usual device (laptop), so i have no idea why i triggered the spam detection system... 😔

itch support reply:

i'm sure itch is just trying different things to stop the spam but i swear i haven't posted any super weird comments or anything... like i don't think three comments in one day is suspicious account activity 🥲

rather frustrating to have my legitimate account flagged for commenting on a game when @itch.io has been having a bot spam issue for ages where i'm just deleting malware comments every day now..................

sorry that i as a real human post comments on games i play i guess??????????

also my favourite story game is ace attorney - i continue to make dialogue-only adventure games to try to approach the platonic ideal of interactive fiction (as determined by me lol) that is the first ace attorney trilogy ⚖️🌻

the space is really lovely, & there's even a free exhibit area with a cafe & some cool zines 📖
