My hazards research gets awkward when I’m researching wildfires because I have a severe severe phobia of fires. Even afraid of smoke detectors.
Despite this, I am learning a lot from Megafire by Michael Kodas.

Had to lecture Beau that we can’t hiss at children. We haven’t handed out candy for a while because Cooper couldn’t be trusted not to get out but this year we are and Beau is so unamused.

We do what we do to protect lives, communities, and infrastructure. Scientists, meteorologists, social scientists, historians, emergency managers. We all have the same mission - to save. But sometimes all we can do is watch and pray, and be ready to help when it’s done.

1) who let this plane take off in the freaking nor’easter?

Reading The Academy by Elin Hilderbrand and Shelby Cunningham and the school has this thing called the Harkness Society.

And all I can think about are the Harkness tables my high school had lol I studied Hamlet and All the King’s Men and US history and so much more at a Harkness table 😂
The Academy that Simone be the one to do the rounds so Cordelia and Honey can have some time alone, but Simone is wearing those impractical heels. "Why would the kids go to the Schoolhouse?"
