Argue binary gender roles, sure, but cite Confucius or Aristotle—something that is within the realm of academic discourse. Arguing against contemporary research is an uphill battle, sure, but the Bible is not a scholarly source for the basis of psychological research.

Immagine a world where you cite scripture in an academic essay and expect to “own” your trans professor (who may have a Ph.D—I can’t find out from all the noise online).

I haven’t heard the phrase anywhere else, and by all means… perhaps it is already being used—but I can easily see “safe starvation” being phased in as a corporate initiative that catches on from these networking conferences they like to do.

Seems to me like the reoccurring pattern as the real secret to staying fit and active into late life is the own stuff.

Who's out there normalizing not having a fucking clue what's going on, in a charming, self-depricating way that projects how identifiable it is to be entirely out of one's depth, and that it's okay to have no idea, as long as you just... go with it? That's normal. That SHOULD be normal.

I mean yes, Cancel R-Kelly. Fuck that guy. And Jared Leto, and anyone else who have literal cults of personality.

But if we don't give others an opportunity to learn, and if those opportunities are not taken to learn, we establish a society which demonizes learning.

There's nothing wrong eith an average person saying: "Wow! I never thought of it that way before." And just live their lives whilst accepting new information. When did it come into society that someone is evaluated by how much 'theory' they know? And some types of theory is more worthy than others.

I mean yes there's queer theory and social justice and advocacy, femenism. But all of that stuff is accademic, and while it's important to have it, most people are just trying to live their lives.

Instead of normalizing growth and adaptation, and making self-mockery while at the same time acknowledging that the world is changing at an immense and perhaps historically unprecedented rate that eclipses even the printing press and industrial revolutions, we say "haters gonna hate."
