Chinese government hackers were discovered months ago on telecom carriers and ISPs, but the US has not been able to remove them, officials said Tuesday. For safer communications, they suggested "responsibly managed encryption" in a background briefing.

"I have nothing to hide. E2EE is for the paranoid and criminals! They need backdoors!"

Advocates of privacy and security would undoubtedly concur. It was always about safeguarding ourselves and the individuals we speak with, not about hiding anything.

I had #Signal & Signal Beta on #PopOS at the same time. I've been seeing "xenial" duplicates after "sudo apt update." If you're having issues getting rid of it, here's what I did:

Uninstall Signal.

# sudo /bin/rm -v /etc/apt/sources.list.d/signal-xenial.list

Reinstall Signal.

Hope this helps.

I had internet issues with ProtonVPN on PopOS. I tried EVERYTHING! Uninstalled the app & even refreshed the OS. Eventually, I found this fix:

# sudo nmcli connection delete pvpn-killswitch

# sudo nmcli connection delete pvpn-ipv6leak

Reboot after. Success!

Thought I'd share. :)
