I DIDNT EVEN THINK ABOUT THAT WAIT. Oh god there truly are fates worse than death. Yeah omg I have way more questions now

I've run through it before, the chirping bell sound of the ship before it bolts off is crazy, the actual healing system itself is really really neat. It's just wild to me that it recognizes any organic lifeform as a thing to work on. At any rate it's like the TF bad end lol, scary AND existential

OH I REMEMBER THIS. It was the singular piece of media that made me terrified to try going off with aliens.

This concept is really cool though, like you said *intent* is a fun one to explore.

Long story short we could absolutely walk back to self-hosted web 1.0/2.0 era platforms and very potentially thrive under our own control. It would cost money, there would need to he donations and/or a subscription. But I'd rather pay into a pool of my own community then have my data sold for free

I dont think it would be good for artists however, though you could argue that artists could host their own portfolios/blog, I'm sure many artists would still prefer a central hub of some kind which puts us back in web 2.0 era social media. Not sure about that part

Thing is, it doesn't have to be one person/one website. We could all make our own forums for our favorite groups/fandoms and link them through web rings like the good ol' days

Realistically itd be high impossible to get people to adopt a 20 year old way of navigating the internet but it could be one of those niche things that really takes off.

Hey so what if we created our own Forum style websites using open software like phpBB and just took care of ourselves
