So I guess now I have a new hobby; radio restoration. This particular one looks like it has been sitting on a display shelf its entire life: Clean, thick layer of dust but no rust. But will need to recapped I’m sure. Will see if I can revive my soldering skills.

Even though we don’t live in a disaster prone area my son has a fascination for all things weather related. He has has had a NOAA weather radio on 24 hours a day in his room for the past couple of years.

Phantasy Star Online is a must play for the GC. It was the original reason I bought mine. The single player story is good. Even though the official servers are long dead there is still a large fan base and people are still running multiplayer servers for the game.

Sunburst Railbikes: my son and I rode those last summer. Nice leisurely ride through the orchards. It made for a nice afternoon picnic.

The thing that has always stuck with me from Doom happened right in the beginning, on map E1M1, I remember seeing mountains on the outside of the map through the windows for the first time, and I thought that was pretty amazing. I have always loved the look of those mountains.
