2/A big problem right now is the disgusting behaviour being modelled by adults in society is influencing how yiung people think and behave. I'm not sure if the SSTA survey asked specifically abt ASN. Maybe @mrdissent.bsky.social can clarify for us?

I think the article and the govts guidance last year was specifically focused on behaviour related to abuse, misogyny and racism for instance. Ot is understood that asn can mean issues can happen but this particular piece is not abt that, as clearly that need specific approaches. A big problem 1/

I remember when Heseltine lost the Tory leadership contest to Major. I've never been a tory,but remember thinking how he seemed more impressive.I wonder how things would be different if we had had different leaders over the last 20 to 30 years. Too many PMs have dragged us backwards in recent times.

I received an update today from Human Appeal through which I sponsor this wee boy in #Gaza. Thankfully he is alive and well along with hia siblings, 💚. Alhumdullilah. As well as they can be I guess.

88% of teachers surveyed by SSTA said the recent behaviour guidance from the govt has had no impact.

Damning report on state of behaviour in our schools.

I'd suggest underlying issues have not been acknowledged therefore the solution presented is not fit for purpose.

Teaching critical literacy to our 3rd yr student teachers tdy,a seminar i ♥️. We use the book,The Island,which is sadly just so relevant to the world we're living in.Safe to say we had some profound conversations and I hope I empowered them to think more deeply & teach from a perspective of justice.
