I was like “my dog… is lethargic? Three hours after we were told we could pick her up?”
“Oh yeah, she’s just chilling back there pretty woozy.”
Yeah sure. And then she got herself out of a harness (it’s still buckled in) and jumped into the front seat.

After struggling with infertility, I had a really hard time with my sister’s first pregnancy with Brody. I didn’t know how I’d feel when he arrived or what our relationship would be like. And then, 11 years ago today, he was born and I felt a new kind of joy and immense love.
