i really struggled to make anything because my self-confidence was in the dirt and i was dealing with a lot of shit irl. it was hard for me to find any value or worth in the things i created for a while. so to see so many nice words over the 2-3 years i was inactive genuinely meant so[...]

there's some things that are pretty tricky to figure out coming from photoshop (which i'd been using since 2011), but photogimp makes it much easier to learn. there's even some quality of life stuff that i think gimp does better (gradient maps, smart layers, tabs, etc).

like if i was doing this in fl studio it would've been way longer to pull off, but it was just so easy and effortless i'm genuinely shocked. i have only recreated one wip track so far, but i did that in like maybe 5-10 minutes. woah
