It adds depth if you think of it as replacing Eriksen for Cunha. The Chelsea game was telling, in the first 20 minutes we dominated in the channels but they ran out of steam as the ball kept coming back from up top. I think he’s trying to get more personal who can drive the middle.

I get it and don’t disagree with getting rid of the tippy tappy but that’s what we are at the moment, a pale imitation of Man City…I think that this team is completely different with a proper centre forward though. I’m holding off judgment until then but it’s all about opinions 👍

Primarily we need someone who can lead the line and hold the ball up to allow us to get up the pitch. McTominay would have been brilliant but I’d be more than happy with Delap as he’s better than what we currently have.

Will politely disagree with you, only on the basis that whatever he did would have offended one group no matter what he did so he picked his religion first. It may not be palatable but it’s not the same as calling him bigoted as he act against LGBTQ+ groups, he just didn’t promote them.

It’s a bit of a stretch to conflate his religious beliefs as being bigoted.

It just adds to the mystery of why Ten Haag never played him 🤷🏻‍♂️
