We want to be absolutely clear: If you are sick, please do not delay getting medical care, regardless of whether we are on strike. We invite you to come join us on the strike line after you've gotten the care you need. We are out here so we can provide better patient care to you!

That leaves NYC’s wealthiest hospitals as the outliers who have refused to settle fair contracts. Jan. 12 strike plans and negotiations continue at Mount Sinai Hospital, Mount Sinai Morningside and West, Montefiore, and NewYork-Presbyterian.

BronxCare nurses have also made major progress at the table! Nurses withdrew their strike notice based on tentative agreements reached on healthcare, nurse staffing and wages.

Latest tentative agreement highlights include:
✅ improve safe staffing
✅ fully fund health benefits
✅ protect nurses from workplace violence
✅ guarantee wage increases equitable with what nurses at the wealthy academic hospitals win

Several safety-net hospitals are stepping up and have agreed on tentative agreements. Now it’s time for the wealthiest hospitals to do the same.

If nurses don't reach an agreement by Jan. 12, see you on the picket line!
