A South Carolina woman was arrested for stealing $147,455 in pension funds meant for her deceased mother. My office will continue to work with law enforcement across the state and country to protect our pension system from fraud.

The former treasurer of a local fire department was sentenced to state prison today for stealing over $92K. Public corruption will be found and prosecuted. My thanks to partners in law enforcement for helping protect taxpayers’ dollars.

NYC has made progress toward its goals of reducing vehicle emissions and improving fuel economy, but the age of its vehicle fleet has led to a decline in critical vehicles such as ambulances and sanitation trucks being operational.

State tax collections in Oct. totaled $3.7B. Year-to-date collections were $63.6B, $5B (8.5%) higher than one year ago and $296.7M higher than the Mid-Year Update to the SFY 2025-26 Enacted Budget Financial Plan estimates.

The value of the state pension fund reached $291.4 billion at the end of the second quarter of State Fiscal Year 2025-26, with fund investments returning an estimated 4.13% for the quarter.
