Also, maybe the government should do something about actually figuring out how to pay its bills instead of borrowing money.
GOOLSBEE SAYS IT IS UPSETTING THAT PEOPLE SAY THE FED SHOULD LOWER INTEREST RATES TO FINANCE GOVT DEBT, THAT IS A REASON FOR INDEPENDENCE

This is why all the talk about primary Democrats is just fantasy talk, because here's a perfect candidate that could probably after Jeffries seat. But he won't.

Yes, not all farmers voted for Trump, but a goddamn a lot of them did last time and this time. And you know what? They're all morons and it's just the way it is. So yeah, the ones who did not vote for Trump are collateral damaged for the ones who did.

What skill did you master that you will never, ever use again?

Archival research feels like it’s full of these, but then there’s always one throwback archive with a microfiche machine or a paper catalogue (or, indeed: NARA)

Yep. This is why when people say we just have to vote our the GOP and I say nope bith parties need to go. But we know this will never happen because the electorate are mindless sheep. Money in politics has is one of the main reasons this system has always been briken. Along with lack of term limits
There is, of course, ~zero chance of this happening. Democratic insiders are going to listen to Ezra Douthglesias & run on some amazing, ambitious Do An Abundance Of Popularism policy agenda which will die in the Senate & at SCOTUS. And the far right authoritarian threat will still be here. Again.

I hope everybody has their computers and phones because everything is going to get a lot more expensive because memory has become astronomically expensive.

Even him dems winning elections and again, unless the existing democratic party is also voted out, nothing is going to change. It's very clear that there's a large block of Democrats that simply won't do what the people want. This is one reason why the house really needs to be expanded.
11 Senate Democrats just voted to advance the nomination of a Federal Society judge who used to defend banks and payday lenders:

Durbin
Gallego
Hassan
Hirono
Kaine
Kelly
King
Klobuchar
Reed
Rosen

The one takeaway from Tennessee's election last night is that there's still not enough people feeling pain of what Trump and that you and me are doing.

Again this is why they are wrong Democrats and need to go. Disturbing is just the Dems versus of concerned from the GOP. I know the electorate is just to naive to think this but it is true. both the Dems and the GOP use immigration as a wedge issue just differently. But neither want to solve it.
Donald Trump once paid for a full-page ad calling for the execution of the Central Park Five — innocent teenagers who were later exonerated. None of this is new. The racism has always been there. What we’re seeing now is just the quiet part said out loud.
Mark Kelly: "When I heard the secretary say that they're gonna pause immigration from third world countries, I take that as a message that they don't want brown people coming to the US. And I find that disturbing."

it's fucking embarrassing - most of the senior leadership would be from when I was in, ie the height of OIF/OEF, and you'd fucking THINK they'd remember the national shame from the illegal shit we did THEN but i guess not.

I have not heard the words come out of Democrats mouths yet. "It is heart breaking at the death of Sarah Beckstro. But make no mistake the fascist president put them in harms way and by direct result of his actions got them killed."

You know sometimes the left can be just as closed minded and judgemental as the right. That does seem to be a common thread between them
