October is Mi’kmaw History Month in Nova Scotia. This year’s theme is A’tukwemk aq A’tukowinu’k – Storytelling and Storytellers.

Going to share a few locally developed games on this thread that have Mi'kmaw themes.

I've put the different habitat shapes back into the Tabletop Simulator version of #Titanomachina and I'm trying out a default set-up for #halcon2025
The default Titanomachina table on Tabletop Simulator. There are 2 or 3 Titan configurations for each Titan, figurine, dashboard card, and Titan deck one for 2-4 players. Each Titan also has 25 habitat blocks (yellow cylinder, pink octagon, green cross, and blue cube), 10 shield tokens, a shield diagram card, a damage diagram card, and standee alternatives to figurines. The table also has a board, rule book, tech manual, two reference cards, four personality cards, and four pass cards. There are a further 13 Titan configurations available in the top-right corner of the picture. The table has a pink-on-black grid.

Which is to say, Titans were made in spite of the practical constraints all giant robots should face in reality (for a certain value of reality). There are other, better options but none more morally correct and righteous (if not outright sinful). This is, I think, the right way to do giant robots.

One of the things Warhammer 40,000 got right, back when Dan Abnett wrote the novel Titanicus, was that Titans weren't created for practical concerns, but for religious concerns, a testament to union with the Machine-God. That's why I commissioned the Damnatio Memoriae from iraganaart.bsky.social

Yes, especially where some languages lack sufficiently precise vocabulary for more prosaic concepts.

John Searle is dead. Hopefully he'll be buried in a grave marked only in Chinese.

Up to 46%, thank you!

Hopefully will have more updates Tuesday when I get my check up.

All the help given has been hugely appreciated. Just hoping I get back to "normal" and working again, soon.

Right, got the dashboard worked up, and it looks like Styxx gains a habitat to set up. #Titanomachina
A dashboard for the Titan Styxx taking the primary configuration and swapping out the laser blade and plasma shotgun for two gun batteries mounted on the arms and leaving the rocket pod on the turret. The dashboard also has 19 habit blocks to set up on the board, and a three-quarters profile picture.

Styxx was sculpted by Jason Miller.

sorry to be a broken record, but needs be I continue to bang the drum, as I try to recover enough to return to work.

If you can help, thank you, if you cannot, considering our current environment, totally understood, please share, and spread, and thank you, regardless.

Good for them for not alienating their audience with an attempt at something of their own.

my favorite subgenre of Halloween decoration is “skeleton of things that absolutely do not have skeletons”
several SnailBonez™️ skeleton snails with a skull for a shell that actually look pretty sick but I mean, several OctoBonez™️ brand octopus skeletons on a shelf along with a SpiderBonez™️ spider skeleton

There was some discussion of the ideal build for Styxx, and it might be this one with two gun batteries and a rocket pod. #Titanomachina
The Titan Styxx armed with two gun batteries and a rocket pod, coloured green with purple trim, and light blue/red details. Styxx is seen in three-quarters profile against a pink-on-black background.

Styxx was sculpted by Jason Miller.
