Emu Sentinels On the damp soil, she walks with her long skirt trailing behind her. Brittle leaves of crimson, ochre, and rust lay dying and whispering beneath her boots. Days of weathering their lies and schemes, Now Pandora’s box is open, breaking their dreams. The rhythm of reckoning hammers the chest, Eyes of the failed demand, no second test. They whisper survival, deny, and hide, But their salvation is buried, dying inside. Historians tally each lie they devise, While I scrape through the wreckage, my sanity survives. The box they unlatched won’t silence its sound, Truth shudders, still restless, six feet underground. This madness, I name it, I carry its flame, While they dig their own graves in a self-serving game. Consequence rises, its voice sharp and stark: “You’ve buried your own light in an endless dark.” On Reaping What Is Sown Galatians 6:7–8 "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life." On Darkness vs. Light John 3:19–20 "This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.
