Again I ask, why is the opinion of the Nottingham Civic Society always the first thing referenced when any development is discussed? Why do they get the chance to cast everything in a negative light from the off?

Rachel Reeves says this Labour Governments decisions are "necessary."

Why is it always necessary to hit the living standards of the 99%?

When are we going to make the necessary decisions about extreme wealth?

When will Michael Gove finally just f@ck off?
I’m a past winner of the Orwell Prize & won partly because I exposed Vote Leave’s unlawful activities.

Michael Gove was its co-convener & refused to answer a single q. He’s now a judge of the prize & our world is truly one that Orwell would recognise

Amazing how £33bn is totally reasonable for 3.2km of tarmac, but £100bn for an entire rail network spanning the country is totally out of control spending. Those fossil fuel guys know how to lobby.

Couldn't agree more.
I ENTIRELY understand why a party way to the left of Labour needs to exist.

I have NO IDEA why it needs to be Your Party, other than ego.

The Greens are RIGHT THERE. Corbyn will be 78 at the next election. And it's a shambles. Give up, lads.

Labour lost the trust of left wing and centrist voters by chasing yet spectacularly failing to attract right wing voters.

It's quite simply the most disastrous strategy they could have pursued.

And entirely self-inflicted. None of the extreme chaos the Tories left them had to be tackled this way.

Have to say after initial high hopes for Zarah Sultana I've been pretty put off by her recent interview. The stuff about NATO was so disappointing, just made herself unelectable to millions. And apparently her + JC are the Left's great hope 🙄
Sultana’s position on Ukraine is not just morally reprehensible but juvenile and trite

I've been listening to Virginia Giuffre's memoir on recent drives. It's pretty horrifying so far. One tale of a former minister's brutal abuse of her is particularly dark.

I wonder if anyone is following up on that. I think I could hazard a guess at who to speak to first.

No sudden rupture is now required for the far right to take power in this country. For what we're seeing is a steady normalisation of extremists by the Conservative and Labour Parties, BBC, Telegraph, Mail and others. A shift once considered unthinkable beings to look acceptable, even inevitable.🧵
