Fans of A Canticle for Leibowitz and no one else--rejoice! It's a short story I wrote about a post apocalyptic priest and their obsession with a k-pop band.

I was pretty proud of this shorty story when I finished it months ago and then promptly posted it nowhere.

The horrors of being a child chimney sweep in Victorian-ish era London. What's this up in the chimney? Ah, jeez. That shouldn't be there.

Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals.

It's another short story! This one's a classic tale about one of those darn skin-stealer types! Incorrigible!

A short story about 3 inept travelers on the Oregon Trail that encounter a lighthouse nowhere near the ocean.

Since I don't maintain my website anymore, I'm reuploading my short stories to my Ko-Fi.

Here's a lightly spooky tail of a young woman's obsession with a very real, very mysterious video game!

After a holiday-filled month, I'm back with a quick one about what happens when your special psychic powers are a little too specific.

Was making home made marshmallow cream for ice cream when my kitchen aid went out. I give a firm two thumbs down to whipping egg whites to a stiff peak by hand. I think I have arthritis now.

Godzilla Minus One: not as transcendental as hype made it sound, but the best since bug-eyed buddy Shin Godzilla. A wonderfully whiny lead. Godzilla keeps getting thicker waist down, which made me realize for the first time that he's probably built like that to help w/ forced perspective. But dur.

Johnny Guitar (1954): Yes, I watched because I love New Vegas. An embarrassment of Daddies here, including Joan Crawford. I love a story about a guy that won't do the violence because he's too good at it, and soft now. The Rundown would have been better if the Rock was on Rosario Dawson's leash.

Glengarry Glen Ross: I was pretty high for this one. I always find movies that are obvious stage plays hard to engage with, but it's got great performances and I laughed harder and harder every time they mentioned the leads (because of the weed). These lil business boys just really need their leads!

Freaks (1932): everyone's always saying to watch this and they're right. Beautiful, goofy, humane. Never realized the context of the "one of us" chant wasn't a creepy thing, it's actually kind of sweet? Wonder if this is a cultural blindness or if the original audience just sided with the normies?

Increasingly low energy for writing during the holidays, so now this is a brief movie review account.

It's a good day for reading my short story that's sort of The Lighthouse, but on the Oregon Trail (and there's still a lighthouse, tho, don't worry).

Rookie mistake folks, but don't put something with a lot of bacon grease on it in the dishwasher. I've learned a lot more than I ever wanted to about the various parts of my oldass dishwasher in the last few days and it still won't drain. Also I found a mouse (RIP mouse).

I lurked on twitter for a decade and posted about twenty times because it was kind of a nasty place, but maybe I'll do a A Post here more often, it seems mostly better?

You might think my latest short story was obviously inspired by A Canticle for Leibowitz, but actually it's inspired by a Discord game I designed based on A Canticle for Leibowitz, so you're wrong. Please read anyway. Thank you.

Hi, I'm Gabriel! Why not go read one of my short fiction stories? They're FREE! I've been writing a new one every week for a while now. Weird body nonsense, a lighthouse on the Oregon Trail, changelings, sentient mushrooms, and cryptic retro video games await! www.off-worlds.com/shortstories
