we should stop labelling people "conservative" as it implies preservation
"reactionary" is more fitting because they don't want nor remember the past as it actually was and they're exasperated by the result of old powers reacting to their ever-changing world and circumstances

It's disheartening to see kids my age in their 20s think that the past was a better place and/or that today's society would be better if we just brought back some of the old values we had.
