Am in awe of folks in US cities peacefully resisting bcuz you’re right: historically it ends in violence when invaders post troops everywhere: we went through this in the 1770s too! And yet the protests remain peaceful. Almost daily I wake up dreading seeing in the news that violence has broken out

Noticed the SWKT in the backdrop. That town is like Eden to me: a paradise before tasting of the fruit, and once you have it’s never quite the same but I miss what it was! Going back feels very surreal. Got both degrees there and my father teaches in the Tanner building, Dr Rich Money (no joke)

PS @pftompkins.bsky.social I hear ya but what history shows as winnable (and the gov knows this) is our side HAS to keep it nonviolent as long as we can. To minimize body counts when civil conflict arrives—we can’t be the aggressor if we want to win this war

I try to remind myself that even though the US doesn’t recognize the ICC, when this civil conflict ends and the republic wins (again), we can do our own US Nuremberg Trials to try/ convict these war criminals. Hegseth and Noem aren’t the cyanide-biting type
