There's some hot classic Big Ten action across town.

You're talking about Rutgers-UW, right?

Do we think Nantz is that multi-sport talented, relatively speaking?

If I'm putting someone next to McDonough it's Kenny Albert. Underrated in that category is Dan Hicks.

A lot of Republican governance is just efforts to make Fox News Cimematic Universe fantasies real—imagine 70 million voters demanding that the US government reorient itself to apprehend The Batman, and the President responding by dispatching the National Guard to Halloween parties and Spirit stores

The Oregon Republican Party tried to help Donald Trump make the case for military intervention in Portland with an image of a fiery protest — but since Portland is calm, they had to fabricate one by merging old photos of police in Ecuador and protesters in Brazil www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

Guys, every person you see on Fox News in a mask is just Robert O'Neill, retired Navy Seal and occasional Fox News contributor. He's the former Antifa, former Gazan, former gang member. His eyes are very unique.
ofotnm.bsky.social
You're also on him for the bad defensive performance against Nick Foles but not giving him anything for winning the next Super Bowl only allowing 3 points to the second best offense in the league in a game Brady barely showed up to.
ofotnm.bsky.social
You don't think Drew Bledsoe, who already had one Super Bowl start on his resume, could give you a statline of 16/27 for 145 yards and 1 TD? He basically did that in one half at Three Rivers in January against a Pittsburgh defense that was better than the Rams in the AFC title game.
ofotnm.bsky.social
Right, but he wasn't lighting up the stat sheet. Clutch as hell but he was mostly in game manager territory, especially in 01. Bledsoe won them the AFCCG and it's not unreasonable to think they still would have beaten the Rams if Brady couldn't go in the Super Bowl. Does Bill get no credit there?
ofotnm.bsky.social
Brady won less games than that with the same team the year after. 11 wins gets you in the Playoffs 19 times out of 20. "Great briefly in KC" is being a little generous. He was like the 5th Pro Bowl alternate.

And if "Josh Allen wasn't Josh Allen yet" what was Brady's first 3 years?
ofotnm.bsky.social
His coaching tree isn't that bad if you include the college game. Saban, Ferentz, Pat Hill, Al Groh is probably the best UVA coach in however long. I'm shocked how bad BC has been the last few weeks but BOB worked miracles those two years at PSU. Even helped rehab Bielema's stock.
ofotnm.bsky.social
He won 11 games with Matt Cassel and made the playoffs with Mac Jones, a year that included a win over Josh Allen where they threw three pass attempts.

I feel like over time we've made 2007 Pitt out to be way worse than they were to up the legend of 13-9. WVU wasn't even the first ranked team they beat that season. This UCLA team is so, so, so much worse.

I don't want to spoil it, but Newman dies on the toilet.

Holding elections late in a year has to be having some kind of subconscious effect on people. 2020 gets associated with Biden the same way a ridiculous amount of people still think Obama was President during the 2008 financial crisis.
ofotnm.bsky.social
Dan Mullen at Florida is probably on the same wavelength as that one, too.
ofotnm.bsky.social
Not disagreeing, but it wasn't a point in his favor and was at least a kind of thing that wasn't a mark on Herman's resume.
ofotnm.bsky.social
Wasn't Texas hiring Tom Herman more of a slam dunk? Fickell at least had the blemish of a sub-.500 year at Ohio State sandwiched by 12-1 and 12-0 teams.

We looked back on the "backlash" against American Eagle ads featuring Sydney Sweeney and her "great jeans." Right-wing media declared that liberals were outraged and thought the ads were racist -- even the White House joined in.

If you thought that story reeked, you'll want to see what we found.

American Eagle was dragged into an online outrage cycle after conservative media figures claimed that liberals were offended by the clothing company's ads featuring Sydney Sweeney and a denim-themed pun about her "great jeans."

We checked the data. That wasn't true.
