The Crew is already the team northern Ohio roots for. I’m a local to Cleveland and we have a very solid fan base. Clearly giving up the home game was the wrong decision. Hope the money they made was worth our undefeated record and I hope come October this L doesn’t come back to bite us.

Also, this was my Lloyd Sam game of the week. Still putting himself in the game. “Oh! Hit that!” After the ball falls to MN unmarked about 25 yards out and “he’s a big man, but he can beat a man”. I’m here for it all day.

Atlanta didn’t want to win that one. They were their own worst enemy. Guzan had a great game and kept them in it despite everyone else giving the ball away for free. Terrible miscommunication on MIAs second goal. I would expect better from them especially in front of their home crowd.

RSL with full points on the road. Thought HOU just weren’t going to play after giving up the first goal only 50 second in. They would bring it back level and then are unfortunate to have their second goal called back. I do think it was the correct call with how close he was to the play while offside

And just like that. Whitecaps are 4-0 beating both the blue and red Dallas teams playing against them. Have I mentioned I hate those jerseys? I’m here for the whitecaps show. How long will this run last? They are home again next week against a mid Bridgeview team who they should beat.

STL still yet to give up a goal on the season. Great free kick goal to go up 1-0 early and they were saved by the VAR in stoppage time which spotted the handball happening before the foul that was rightfully called as a PK. Sometimes it’s good to be lucky.

MN United should just not show up next week out of embarrassment. You are up 3 goals on the road with 25 mins to play against a team who hasn’t gotten a point yet this season. Not just no wins, but no ties. And you let them claw back for a point. VAR on the handball overturn is correct in my view.

DC now has 2 ties at home against teams who both have yet to win a game in the 2025 season. They need to stop losing the full points at home or they might find themselves outside the playoff picture when it comes down to it.

Charlotte played a good game. The offense was clicking. Second yellow red card for FC Kentucky was an easy call. I do think there is a potential second red card that was missed against Evander in the 92’ for a knee to Malanda’s face after the play was dead. Hope they look at that again.

That’s an ugly own goal to start the game and pretty embarrassingly is the only goal on the season for the Revs. They need to find some offense. NYCFC didn’t let it get to them and brought it back for the home win and a beautiful finish from Alonso Martinez for what would stand as the game winner.

Austin honestly could have had a few more. Glad those misses from inside the 6 didn’t come back to bite them. Brad Stuver was rightfully pissed getting undercut late in the game. That’s a red in my book as Tillman didn’t appear to even make a play at the ball he just threw his hip into Stuver.

My Lloyd Sam game of the week. Toronto are lucky they didn’t lose by more. As a former keeper I can appreciate the holding foul to take back Chicago’s third goal but it wouldn’t matter. Bernardeski was livid after the first goal having won the ball but nobody to relieve the pressure on the outlet.

Good road point for the Mickey Mouse Club. This game was fun to watch. Could have easily been 6 or 7 goals in this one. Had some great saves and great goals. This one had it all. Even a PK after a correct VAR review.

It does look rough on TV. Never been there in person. And let’s face it, it could be worse. You could be stuck supporting the New Jersey RedBulls 😜. All banter aside it is nice NYC has a club and it is good for the league. Good on you guys for putting up with it.
March 15, 2025 at 3:15 PM
I can support that. And it’s not your fault that’s where your club plays. But would you deny there would be more supporters helping grow the sport if a real stadium, shared or otherwise, had been prioritized before now? Is it possible that has hurt growth within NYC?

On baseball fields apparently.

And contributes to the reason the rest of the world thinks MLS is a joke. 2027 can’t get here soon enough.
