I read a preview chapter and it's more or less "porn-without-plot". Which is fine but not my thing. And like you I don't want to read about sports bros (I like watching some sports, but I have no interest in the people playing).

It is SUPER SUPER hard to fit into cities. I had the same issue in London, I just couldn't find my tribe. I only fit my current location because I've been coming here since I was a teenager in the 1990s. I've got to know people slowly and I've grown up in the area so I know its "shorthand".
