I'd never seen it until we moved from the NE corner of MS to the NE corner of GA in the late 90s. Our 1/4 acre wooded old growth front yard was a blanket of Crows Feet. We & visiting friends/family from back home loved it. None of us could successfully transplant it back to NE MS, it is hotter here.

Lovely groundcover. Reminds me of Crowsfoot aka Ground Cedar (Diphasiastrum digitatum), except this one has pointy leaves like ferns.

I had not considered the seeds, what a wonderful idea thank you! I will try that this fall. We live on the top of a hill overlooking a wetland swampy area. It's much dryer on the top up here, but I do I have a few low lying shady & bare areas. I will try them there.
