Back to my Canyon de Chelley archives, this as a closer-in view of a scene that made a nice wide angle spread as well. I don't know exactly why, but something about large bold rocks & canyons manages to elicit an emotional and wonder-filled response at times.

Chapel of Sound
Resting at the base of a valley famous for holding remnants of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall—a Chapel of Sound. Deftly evoking its natural surroundings, this small semi-outdoor concert hall pursues the experience of sound in its purest form

I thought this suggested video was about #Juneteenth which I'm whole heartedly celebrating. But it's actually about freedom from many other things. Too good not to share. #Peace #Meditation #Minimalism #Self-Awareness #Acceptance

"When we choose to talk it’s because we hope we see the world similarly enough to feel connected" Good read for us #Introverts. I'm skilled in the art of chit chat, taught it & proper #Social manners through childhood. Since 2020, worse since Trump, it feels too much like personal betrayal. #BlueDot

This one of the phenomena on my "geologist's bucket list" to see someday - salt flowing like a glacier.
🧪⚒️Just released Mike Hudec on salt tectonics. Amazingly, salt structures can be many tens of kilometers across. And because salt is extremely weak compared to other rocks and minerals, it is the first to deform in the presence of stresses. It's often involved in forming hydrocarbon reserves.
