We need to have a serious talk about the way "AI companion" apps not only prey on the vulnerable, but are priming their users to ignore consent and to conflate love with control.

We need AI regulations across so many sectors, but this area is particularly horrifying.

I can't physically keep up with the news cycle most days, but today feels so much more unreal. I can't imagine how much will slip by unnoticed for people who aren't actively trying to keep on top of today.

Yuuuup. It's so insidious — starting with a few things but eventually aiming to absorb all kinds of rights.
Oh, the endgame there is obvious: someone will take the government to court for violating the ADA, the government will take it all the way to SCOTUS, and SCOTUS will overturn the ADA. Not hard to figure that one out.
