Super hypocritical when in deference to a president of a party that has been screaming for years that they want to go after pedophiles and protect children.

So since the news isn't using the term, the general public won't, either, because they're getting the wrong impression that it's somehow against the rules or, worse yet, that it WASN'T proven in court.
joshcolletta.bsky.social
I would guess it trickles down from the media. They won't say "rape" because Trump is so frivolously litigious, even if it HAS been proven in a court of law, and they don't want to get tangled up in a lawsuit by him (and/or tangle with the FCC acting illegally under Brendan Carr).

Donald Trump is a rapist as proven in court, and is credibly accused by numerous people of being a child rapist. Don't avoid the word, use it. Donald Trump is guilty of rape.

JFC. Just STOP saying trump f**ks kids!!! 🤬 It's called RAPE !!!!!!!

So sharing a quote from the President of the United States is now considered a threat of violence. Tell me we live in a police state without telling me we live in a police state.

Disney has a financial responsibility to officially release the trans-centered episode of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur

4. Netflix, however, didn’t flinch—and a week later, its stock is up, the boycott a fizzle rather than a firestorm, a hollow echo of the successful Disney backlash led by liberals around the same time that followed Jimmy Kimmel’s firing.
Netflix stock up 2.19%

Also, this long-form arrangement with the Tonight Show Band is absolutely fantastic. Kinda ironic that Jay Leno was guest-hosting for Johnny Carson that night 😆

Exactly. And sure, maybe I'll come back to it later, think "oof, this is trash" and write something completely different, but that's MY work going through the process, not some soulless machine spitting out an amalgam of other people's work (which was most likely stolen).

I feel like a broken record, but I have to keep saying it over and over again: a farmer bailout won’t do much of anything because the market is gone. There will be no incentive to plant next year.

The bailout will help payoff farmer debt to the banks. That’s all.

I do believe that's the correct answer, yes 😄

David Simon, creator of ‘The Wire’, being interviewed by Ari Shapiro (NPR)
SHAPIRO: OK, so you've spent your career creating television without Al, and I could imagine today you thinking, boy, I wish I had had that tool to solve those thorny problems...
SIMON: What?
SHAPIRO: ...Or saying...
SIMON: You imagine that?
SHAPIRO: ...Boy, if that had existed, it would have screwed me over.
SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.

As I've pointed out before, all libs are shitlibs. It's only a matter of where, when, and in what context they reveal themselves as such. They all do eventually.

Liberal politicians aren’t betraying you they are agents of fascism

If you believe they are your allies you will get fucked

Make sure you don't make the mistake we did in the States and leave the operational rules up to the chambers, themselves. Codify those so that they can't be touched without a public vote. Half the mess we're in right now is because our legislators are allowed to change the rules that govern them.

The multiple variations of the theme song from Late Night with David Letterman and The Late Show with David Letterman, all composed and arranged by Paul Shaffer. Even when The World's Most Dangerous Band was just a four-piecer, they had a MASSIVE sound!

See? I made an even more accurate analogy than I thought! 😆

It stands for a regiment that fought to preserve slavery. That is the ONLY thing that shit rag means.

You're making the same arguments about the Union Jack that they make about the "heritage" of their flag. It doesn't fly here in the States, either.
joshcolletta.bsky.social
By the way, not to put TOO fine a point on it, but have you ever heard the phrase "heritage, not hate?" Yeah. That's what Confederate apologists say about the battle flag of the Army of Tennessee, incorrectly referred to as "The Confederate Flag."

"Well EVERYBODY dies."
"Oh, and if everybody ran off a cliff, you'd do that, too?"

One is a colorful piece of cloth. The other is biological reality. You dolt.

But the majority of the white working class identify with that flag and you can't dictate to them how they identify any more than the TERFs can dictate to you how to identify. And how do you expect to build a better society for everyone if you dismiss 'white' as a synonym for 'racist'?
