I noticed that at the end of last year that I was no longer seeing Yukon Gold taters, so today I went and looked for some to make this dish. No dice. Found a bunch of different yellow taters and these are good, but not the same. Turns out, they’re going away. 🍽️🍜

Awww man. Thats no good. My camera died while I was watching bluebirds this morning but I stayed out and watched them a bit anyway. I can’t imagine there’s bugs crawling about but they were catching something. Also, I miss my Pine from last year.

The Bluebirds have been hanging out in the big oak trees outside my office so today i took a little break and watched them. Windy and 30F was invigorating but the sunshine and cloudless skies was fantastic. #birds

Got brioche bread and American cheese and good butter for grilled cheese sammies and two rotten chickens. I’ll have to go to a different store to get the pappardelle I like with clucky noodle soup! Gonna be perfect this weekend when our temps take a nose dive. 😁🍽️🍜

Marketside Cranberry and Gouda Veeners on steak rolls with peppers and relish and Dijon. A small amount of American cheese might involved. ☺️🍽️🍜

Not too bad. That was bit disappointing for a $5 can of chili, tho. I fortified it with spices. 😂

I couldn’t find any rotten ones; I will complain to the store manager, but, this was pretty good.

The @aba.org has named the Horned Lark its Bird of the Year for 2026. I don't get to see them very often here but it's a great choice! #birds #birdoftheyear #hornedlark #HOLA

I wanted pork bones for the stock I made to cook beans so I took them from some country ribs I had. Now I’m braising those country ribs with apples and onions and garlic and some of the stock. A perfect circle. 👀😂🍽️🍜

Looks good! I’m still waiting on the supposedly delicate Anasazi beans to cook. They’re 2 hours in and nowhere near done… so I’m taking a break.
