His videos are comfort content for me. If I'm in a funk I'll play his videos and vibe

If you don't want to use any products financially backed by Thiel's VC, then you'll have to avoid the Brave browser. There are a lot more controversial things in the browser's history though.

I feel very stomachy every day. I relate so hard.

DVD purchases are always fun! If you decide you'd like to purchase music as well and don't want to bother with CDs then you could try Qobuz.

I desperately want to purchase or build a NAS but the prices for everything is insane right now.

Why is your Blender setup so damn cute lol

Same. I still quote the meme to this day
a man with a beard is making a funny face with his eyes closed and the words `` click '' written next to him .

Yup saw that one! His video is a great exception to what I had said. IIRC he mentioned his process but said "don't copy me do what fits your workflow"

I myself love Obsidian, although I would recommend that anyone who tries it to avoid going through YouTube, Reddit, etc., initially. The program is a bit complicated, and there are too many systems and add-ons that people recommend, which make the learning process much more difficult.

The woman protesting for the environment is the true antichrist according to him. Glad the wealthy man with tech named after an evil sorcerers crystal ball is able to tell us who is good and evil 🙄

My wife and I found out recently that a data center will be built in the area we live in. We both decided to nope out due to the health impact.

AI use from a commercial perspective doesn't make a whole lot of sense in the applications I've seen thus far. For personal use its entirely useless.

I could honestly go on about it forever so to keep it simple I'd try Language Transfer (audio grammar lessons) and Dreaming Spanish for listening practice.

I started my journey with those and am at 721 hours of just listening. No idea how many with proper grammar study, reading, etc.

Oh, sorry! My message definitely made it sound like I was implying the cause itself was the same. I read that same article this morning, lol.

Computer security should be up there on people's priority list. Even if someone "is just browsing" following best practices lowers the risk.

Didn't Notepad++ also have a major vulnerability? It's crazy to think we put all our data onto computers (often unencrypted) and all it takes is bad security practices or poorly written (AI) code to ruin your day.

This looks sick! I love the color palette

I got banned from a Spanish learning sub for talking about a popular resource 🤷🏻

Most of the show was just alright. That scene was powerful, though. I was surprised to see that so many felt it ruined their meeting in ANH.

I'll investigate online later to see if I can find additional documents about the protocol. I'd hate for any data here to be lost due to the company behind it being the main (not quite only) player. Even worse though, I'd hate to be ignorant about a topic and talk outta my ass. Thanks for the link!
February 11, 2026 at 3:48 AM
Read the whole document and in theory it sounds very similar (if not better) than ActivityPub. In reality, I feel we haven't had much to offer yet. I understand the protocol overall is fairly new though. I hope to see alternatives to stuff like Tumblr or Reddit using ATProto.

You've likely already searched this, but it's an alternative to TikTok. It appears to be the primary platform people are turning to in reaction to the US/Oracle takeover.

Psssh, I started learning Spanish to speak with my Puerto Rican wife, and now I understand Spanish just fine! However, whatever they speak in PR, I haven't the slightest clue.
