And I think the next game will be a really good one. They've seen a LOT of feedback on whatever AC players want, AND implemented as much of it as they can with the specs of the Switch. They've also been working hard on performance to keep adding more so we have a great base for whatever is next! 🤔

My other big thought is that I bet they've been working on this update for a while BECAUSE whatever new game wasn't ready for Switch 2 at release. IMO, I think the Switch 2 was released too early.

But. This update it great. And tells me they're deep in development for whatever's next.

The update addresses a good amount of the community's least favorite things about New Horizons (1st game after the best AC, and tech-wise, Switch is not the best platform) which bodes well for whatever future game.

Also releasing updates after they said they wouldn't?? They're keeping us happy 🥹

Terrible news is that there's probably a huge delay in the new game (the dev taking forever on every new Animal Crossing game makes me so sad), so we're unlikely to get a new game before 2026/2027.

Especially with this kind of massive update 🥲
