They/them, or none. Do NOT talk about me in third person.
Like beatz by Dre and airpods and vinyl players. Vinyl players are a fun novelty and all but let's be real. Their primary selling point is for people who want to be perceived as music connoisseurs to feel fancy. Like high performance hiking gear for people who gets scared of poor people

They literally think the purpose of art and media is to make money and make them feel good. Literally ignoring that it's expression and the only culture most suburban North Americans have left because they don't have any friends. They don't have stakes in life anymore coz they're already dead inside

At the very least jacking off has health benefits
December 10, 2025 at 5:27 PM
I've found they consume media and experience all things in the same way I view jacking off. If something doesn't immediately make them feel good they just don't do it, including thinking about anything ever. It's why they're so into ketamine. Only into sci-fi to them it's an aesthetic power fantasy

It's friggin wack that tech bros can be so into sci-fi but miss the point of these stories completely

It's only when HAL is genuinely threatened with death does it try to fix things with the only remaining member left of the crew. AI bros are literally trying to manifest handing shit over to a HAL that can't die and has no sense of consequences
December 10, 2025 at 5:00 PM
It's why HAL gets to people. HAL had stakes, if Bowman turns him off there's nobody left to turn him back on. That's what humanizes HAL, not that it can act autonomously. HAL made a minor mistake(inevitable), and instead of informing anyone, doubles down and starts killing ppl who would suspect him

This is at the very core why AI shouldn't make decisions, don't deserve rights, and shouldn't be considered sentient. Until it can die you can't consider it alive

I acknowledge we will never be able to eliminate all fossil fuels and mining. Emergency generators will probably continue to require some kind of fossil fuel, and we need rare metals for medical equipment and aviation. But we need to cut back massively and regulate the fuck out of it
December 10, 2025 at 4:14 PM
It all comes back to fossil fuel industry huh. Mining and pollution makes people sick, cause unemployment, which drives up health care costs and fuels health and wellness grifting as well as pharmaceuticals, data centers drives up energy costs, lowers income, less revenue for social services...

A lot of the structural issues faced in coal production areas like West Virginia isn't because of cutting down on coal jobs. Coal and fracking is so destructive to the environment and people's health it's literally disabling them. Fluoride isn't poisoning you, it's the fossil fuel industry, AGAIN

"oh man there's no good way to loop these together without using a bunch of clasps that'll shift around too much-" that's quitter mentality. Never give up. If traditional solutions don't got me geometry's got me

This kind of thing ONLY works for 3d design, do NOT trust this kind of thinking for anything else. Especially anything systemic

See, the weird shit I own do have a purpose

In the impossible scenario where we somehow have a surplus of energy from all renewable sources and mining for the metals used in GPUs doesn't wreak havoc, go nuts. But for now that energy and money should be going to hospitals and schools, yknow, to fix actual problems
