We're planning to play more board games in 2026, so I made a spreadsheet. Turns out we currently own *exactly* 100 games.

Had some squash ravioli at an allegedly fancy restaurant. It was supposed to have alfredo and balsamic, but they seem to have used vanilla frosting instead of alfredo. Like, the kind you'd drizzle on a cinnamon roll. Honestly, I'm not mad about it. Why shouldn't pasta be frosted?

There was a spider on the ceiling yesterday rubbing its butt (rear segment?) with two of its middle arms.

I don't usually kill spiders, but that one had to go. Too weird.

If you ever want to find out what happens when you eat most of a family size box of Nutty Buddys in a single 24-hour period: no you don't.

Every time I watch ALIEN I am transfixed thinking to myself "there's no way they've left themselves enough room to get the third horizontal line in that E without it looking like a squashed-in mess!" but no, every single time there it is, and it's beautiful. Most tense part of the movie tbh.

Given how many characters are foodies that turn their noses up at replicators, I assume replicated food is like eating at an Applebee's. It's not good, but it's fine as long as you get something safe that can't be messed up too badly.
Unbelievable that Starfleet has replicators and people use it for boring stuff like "earl grey tea (hot)" or "scrambled eggs."

Show some backbone! Get weird with it! I want to see tribble burritos. Blood wine sangria. Steak and Romulan ale pie. Pumpkin spice raktajinos.

Does anyone know of a Western written by a woman that they could recommend?

I'm looking to fill in a gap in a future reading project. "Western" has to be the main genre, so not children's/YA or literary fiction or romance, etc.

Captain: Janeway
1st: Data
Tactical: Kirk (TOS version)
Science: Jadzia Dax
Engineer: Geordi
Doc: T'Ana (hurts to not include Bones, my fav character, but T'Ana would be better with this cast)
What's he doing here?: Garak
Quote with your ideal 7-member crew made up of characters from any Star Trek show. They have to have distinct roles from each other (ie, not Picard and Kirk), but there's wiggle room, as you can see from how I used Spock. (Geordi could be helm or engineer, etc.)
Cpt: Pike (SNW version)
1st/science: Spock (TOS version)
Doc: Bones McCoy
Sec: Worf
Nav: Ro Laren
Eng: O'Brien
Tailor/Spy: Garak
