It's cold out, so the deer are raiding the bird feeders.
4 deer eating from a bird feeder. One deer is facing the camera, as if to say "dude, you need to fill this feeder" A buck just down the stairs from the other deer. Obviously papa.

Anyway, I've done a lot of volunteering for to the SA on the north side of MKE, a place with a lot of need. Yes, there was religious material available, but it was not pushed.

They serviced all clients equally, openly gay/trans, non Christian.

This seems pretty healthy for an old retired guy. Not as much in the summer, moderately more in cold weather. A few code reviews here and there.
MattyB’s GitHub wrapped for the year. It shows the most activity in January, October, November, and December. 85% commits, 9% pull requests, 3% both issues and code reviews.

Command-line interface for my latest project coming along nicely :) (location and time data is goofy because I'm in the basement and it didn't get a GPS fix)

Carnitas made from leftover turkey dark meat. So much crunchy goodness!!
Simmering the drumstick and legs with an orange, onion, and bay leaf. It will take about 45 minutes if simmering covered to get the meat fall-off-the-bone tender. After the simmer, the turkey is shredded and cooked in oil in a cast iron until it's popping and crispy. Tacos made with the turkey carnitas. Nothing fancy, just corn tortilla with cheese and some sauce. Need to add tomato and other stuff to finish them

Cookie time! This is Wisconsin - we use real butter, and lots of it!

Last year I made the ideal number of cookies, but I couldn't remember if that was a double or triple batch. I made a triple.

Double. Fam, the correct number of cookies is from a double batch.

Doing a little prototyping today
A small square of perfboard. Mounted on it are an ESP32S3 microcontroller board, a U-Blox GPS module (with antenna), 6 N-channel FETs, 2 RGB LEDs, and 2 47-ohm resistors. The bottom (not seen here) is a small rat's nest of wire wrapped connections.
