#NationalBiscuitDay you say? 👀

How about this hand-painted, decorated trench biscuit from the First World War?

The rationed trench biscuit was known to be almost inedible.

Staff Sergeant Charles Shaw asked a colleague to paint a Yorkshire terrier on one. He kept it for years afterwards.

Coming to the view that AI is difficult to use for everyday folk. It can't even tell the difference between Nottingham/Newcastle read a league table properly. Is it really going to transform e.g. public services?

As we're about to hear a whole lot more about autism and vaccines, the great @zachweinersmith.bsky.social has already pointed out the only relevant relationship between the two.

WOW, these baskets are about 9,500 years old! 🤯

Look like they were made yesterday rather than by hunter-gatherers during the Mesolithic!

Made of esparto grass, they were found inside the Cueva de Los Murciélagos (Cave of bats), Spain.

In 1862, a Union soldier found cigars wrapped in a piece of paper in a field of clover. The paper was a copy of Confederate Gen. Lee's invasion orders. The Southern sloppiness helped the Union stop Lee at Antietam.
It's unknown who lost the orders in the field, or if he was related to Pete Hegseth.
