Dipping into an old issue of TV Zone from 1992 and found myself reading the review of the Sophie Aldred Myth Makers video interview. The interviewer was Nick Briggs. And the reviewer...? Nick Briggs.

I had Battle for the Universe. It was *terrible*.

Doctor Who missing episodes and archaeology is very much my thing so talk of possible returns means potentially more to discover and unpick

In the meantime here’s a shameless plug for my stuff!

Surely nobody in their right mind would do that, Simon...

Gellguard is from the Monster book though. I don't think I ever read the novelisation.

Lovely stuff. I too mentally pronounced Gellguard with a hard G as a kid as a result of the Monster Book. Later I realised this was probably not Dicks' intention but by then it was too late for me to mentally adjust. Fortunately the Gellguards don't often come up in real world conversation.

It's The Masters of Luxor. All of it. In an amazing development, it turns out the story was recorded but the episodes went unused, like what happened with the original Planet of Giants parts 3 and 4.
The best bit. My source tells me the release is ready to go now. 2 Entertain just need 1/2

From the Film Is Fabulous Facebook page:
Facebook comment from Film is Fabulous to Justyn Adderley: "Thanks. As mentioned by Sue Malden at our RECOVERED event in May, we are aware of several missing episodes of Doctor Who (Sue stated one of two, but there are more than this) in private film collections in the U.K. We are liaising with the individuals about cataloguing and preserving their entire collection, including the missing Doctor Who episodes, and ensuring that copies are returned to the BBC. We expect to make a detailed announcement shortly."

Just listened right through. Fascinating stuff. Thanks. No spoilers but hopefully you'll be able to revisit it in a few years.

I watched that version recently too. Didn't recognise Pratt.

Puny human. I ride to destiny!

I came onboard that season too but at the start, so I have some nostalgia for it.

I'm watching Silver Nemesis for the third time in about ten days. I may be going mad. On the plus side, all things will soon be mine.

Missing Episodes at Blackpool 2025

The Film is Fabulous! team, together with Dick Fiddy, the co-ordinator of the BFI’s annual Missing Believed Wiped event, will be screening missing episodes of vintage television at the Blackpool Film Collectors’ Convention 2025.

Thanks a nice piece. I'm looking forward to the series immensely. With apologies to Jack for the hijack, but if anyone is interested in James O'Connor's TV plays, I wrote about them all (and what I could learn of his life) some years ago: www.britishtelevisiondrama.org.uk?p=6983

A Look at Load Runner. The galaxy's first ever computer comic, apparently. A 1983 comic from the publisher who brought you Sinclair User. whereweretheynow.blogspot.com/2025/09/load... #RetroGaming #RetroComputing

I'd missed the news that Robin Chadwick died on 7 Sept. How sad. I've been enjoying watching him in The Brothers.

Good to see BBC4 picking up their All Creatures repeats from where they left off tomorrow. The Screen Two repeat run every Wednesday is a good move too. I wonder how many we'll get.

Oh yay, I've just had my first inappropriate DM. And they had a Trump banner on their profile. I couldn't block them fast enough. Yuck.
