Excellent discussion of atmosphere vs expectation. For me, I think fans are sometimes waiting to be dazzled in these games. However, I will attempt to get the Clock End to flap their ears in the wind more going forward 😂

I’d counter I’m raising it so that the game isn’t killed. The referee tolerating it allows this to perpetuate by not punishing it. The far more effective action if worried about time wasting, play acting etc. would have been to say ‘yeah, you’re simulating, it’s cynical, yellow card and you’re off.’

I think you’re misunderstanding my focus - see my post after the game; don’t think we played well enough, too cautious etc. I just noticed this morning when I saw this incident again that it’s clearly simulation by Silva and that is a yellow card, and he was already on a yellow. Just factual

Trossard wasn’t on a booking already I don’t think? For me clearly not meeting the threshold for ‘violent conduct’ straight red. My point is Silva should have received a second yellow
