Yes! In many of these conversations no alternative is proposed because too many men just don’t want to be obligated to support their child. They want to show up quarterly with a pair of sneakers or a trip to an amusement park while ignoring the child’s daily needs.
Just to be clear: There are no good men who support abolishing child support without placing safety nets to provide for children.

Respectfully, you two are talking about completely different things. Unmarried women who aren't partnered with men enjoy all those benefits. Women who are in relationships, living with the man, and having his babies are in more danger than married women.

In case this isn’t clear, it’s going to take more than snappy takes to change the world. The only people who can make change are the ones willing to interact with institutions and systems that are harmful, racist, ableist, etc.

Interesting. Are these phenomena not occurring in unmarried partnerships? Because my point that keeps being missed is that people are going to have kids and families anyway. Women should be financially protected by marriage.
