Current reading. This is a pretty good book. The first three chapters are about chemistry, then it goes into different processes. Some are well known, like cyanotype. Others are unique, like a substitute for gum bichromate that uses resins instead of gum Arabic and doesn’t use poisonous dichromate.

Is content filtering, and training on how to easily and precisely control it themselves, really something parents can't reasonably expect when they pay $5/mo extra to lease a router from the Internet provider?

We need a new file extension for #Java #JEP330 programs launched as shell scripts with a #shebang line, since they don't work with the .java extension. At the same time, we need to avoid creating more confusion with #JavaScript. How about .jsh for "Java shell program"?

How much safer would #skydiving be if the landing target was a barge or artificial island in deep water, and the divers wore life vests? I'd think that would give them *some* chance of surviving a parachute failure.

Anyone else have this problem? I once had to ask a roommate to limit himself to 2 more minutes whenever he said "let me finish", because holding an answer in memory for longer than that without being allowed to deliver it got too exhausting.
