A saying my mom and I came up with while fighting for her to get a much-needed wheelchair: In America, it’s much easier to get a gun than a wheelchair.
There are literally people walking around who need a wheelchair, but don't have one.
How? Ambulatory wheelchair users exist. The Disability Fairy who gives out free wheelchairs does not 🧚.
So judging physical disability based on the presence/absence of a wheelchair is nonsense.

A saying my mom and I came up with while fighting for her to get a much-needed wheelchair: In America, it’s much easier to get a gun than a wheelchair.
You can google set list and lyrics, but there were parts that are not in his songs. Like the bits with Uncle Sam. Every word was intentional.
An accessible format for those with disabilities to appreciate the performance in its entirety would be wonderful. The cc on the video is not very accurate.

It would be amazing to see a transcript of the Kendrick Lamar Super Bowl LIX halftime show. The 22x Grammy winner from Compton gives voice to a generation. He graduated HS with a 4.0 and won the Pulitzer for music composition. I would love to read all that was said.

I love the community I have found among disabled people but, the voices getting passed the mic are still largely unmelanated and that definitely impacts the stories/experiences being told and views getting magnified

Don't forget to include disabled people in your resistance. The more revolutionary you become, the more likely you'll join the disability community. To fight back and get out alive is almost always to become disabled in some way. Disabled people know how to adapt and fight continuously. You need us.
