The writer of this RINGO NOM’D INDIE COMIC (and a very dear friend of mine) is a Syrian Refugee who has been through more continuous hardships than I have space to list here; constantly navigating visa applications, unstable living conditions, predatory landlords (limited options as a refugee).

Anas just wants to make comics and live a normal life like what so many of us take for granted. Backing this campaign will help Anas to take the next step toward freedom and autonomy, helping to fund a move to another country with more stable employment options. This is truly one of the most important comics purchases you will ever make.

Middle Eastern and North African comics creators are some of the most underrepresented in the comics industry of the western world. Anas isn’t running a GoFundMe to support this move, and is not asking for charity. Simply, Anas is using their talent for storytelling, along with Dennis’ gorgeous art, to offer you a beautiful experience in the comics medium, that also goes toward funding a better life for Anas.

Mindhunter was more so put on "indefinite" hold due to Fincher's burn out and busy schedule on Mank and other projects, season 2 did have budget problems but on top of just low viewership as stated by Fincher, otherwise it's something that I think one day can get a new season eventually.

I've dabbled with 3D and some LIGHT modeling in the past but this is the actual first one I fully made.

Taught me a lot at least.

Wasn't happy with most placeholder flashlight models online so I decided to push myself to 3D model in blender and texture a flashlight model in Clip Studio Paint for my game project.

Overall happy with it, gets the job done.

We need online autonomy but we need actual planning, but I rarely see anyone actual make a unified plan for it. But yeah I think the website thing is at least doable.

I think one of the ongoing issues with people wanting to go back to smaller spaces is they can barely do it and try to keep in touch with the wide web for their work to be seen by people, most people just nudge back into these hyper funneled social medias.

I'm still in the dark on finding a sub stack replacement that doesn't ask for money. I know there's options now with neocities and others for art sites. Neocities has its website index, but it would help if someone made some webring index site with RSS to let you know artists you followed uploaded.

I am debating becoming a trade waiter, some of these comic prices jumping is definitely not helping, and TPB prices from my main mail order comic shop and main TPB places I buy from are just so much cheaper when calculating pricing overall.
